River Otter at Huntley Meadows Park
Tell Me A Story: Monthly Blog (January 2021)
Recently, we had a star at Huntley Meadows Park. Alexandria, VA. I was very pleased to capture the American River Otter, and it was my first.
The North American Otter (Lontra canadensis), also know as the norther river otter or common otter, is the semi aquatic mammal to the North American continent found in and along its waterways and coasts. The river otter is protected and insulated by a thick, water-repellent coat of fur.
Hope you like the pictures.
